Creating Tomorrow Today

About Me

My wife, Ingrid, and I moved to Longmont from Ames, Iowa in 1995 after I accepted a position with Advanced Forming Technology.  Over the past 22 years, we have seen Longmont nearly double in size. We moved to the Meadowview neighborhood in 2001 and I served on the Meadowview 7&9 Single Family HOA as Treasurer for one year and have been President for the past eight years.

During my career as a Manufacturing Engineer, my responsibilities for engineering, operations, and maintenance gave me the opportunity to interact with all levels of employees, from line workers to CEO's of multinational corporations. I was responsible for solving the challenges that arise in manufacturing operations, and implementing solutions.

I was elected to City Council in 2013 and have been serving on several local and regional boards.  In addition, I was appointed to the Board of Directors of the National League of Cities in 2015, which has given me perspective on issues that other mayors and council members are also facing in their communities. NLC advocates for federal legislation affecting cities like Longmont.

My life here has been outstanding, and I want to continue to give back and serve the community that has been so good to me.
